Amy Duggar has been talking about her family for years, and it looks like she’s in no danger of running out of material.
In fact, Amy’s latest content reveals layers of weirdness and craziness that outsiders never expected.
And of course, most of it has to do with Jim Bob’s silent rule and devotion to a strange cult known as the Basic Life Principles Institute.
Well, as explained earlier, Jim Bob didn’t create his own bonkers belief system – he may be pretty crazy, but he’s definitely not smart.

No, that belief was brought down by the lovable and sexually predatory cult leader Bill Gothard.
And even though Gothard was forced to back down amid dozens of harassment allegations, Jim Bob and hundreds of other weirdos stuck to his ridiculous teachings.
And as we learned this week, one of those lessons has to do with a destructive evil that has gone undetected in American homes for more than 40 years now.
We’re talking, of course, about the Cabbage Patch Kid doll.
Well, in the TikTok video above, Amy explains that Jim Bob and other IBLP devotees believe that the popular 80s doll is part of a coordinated effort to steal the souls of America’s children.
“IBLP teaches some questionable practices. Including this strange idea,” he wrote in the video.

“Back when Cabbage Patch dolls were popular, it was a rule you couldn’t bring them home.
“Because they are full of demons. No kidding. They are considered very sinful. A doll.”
Amy explained this strange attitude in a long caption:

“They are ‘bad’ because the doll has an adoption certificate and you have to write your name and say you will love your doll,” she wrote.
“But by signing a written agreement to love a doll, children appear to be breaking the first commandment and, therefore, will immediately disobey God,” said Amy.
“No one is allowed to have it. My mother doesn’t want to hurt my sister.”

Amy later reposted the clip with a new caption that read:
“Let’s try this again… this is what people in IBLP still believe in. I will tell the truth about my feelings about this cult.
Many commentators have suggested that it could be related to the insanity Amy experienced growing up in a full-fledged cult.

“I also grew up in a strict Christian household,” one fan said, according to British tabloid The Sun.
“My dad threw away all our Disney movies.”
Well, it seems that Amy’s upbringing is not common.
And while he was able to escape and share his story with the world, millions were not so lucky.
