The Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Seye Oladejo, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Lagos.

Oladejo said: “Our attention has been drawn to a publication that is alleging an imaginary crisis rocking Lagos State APC by some faceless people.

“Our initial reaction was to ignore the unnecessary disruption at the height of the election campaign.

“However, we have a change of mind to prevent people from accepting this fiction as reality. All stories are at best the fertile imagination of the author.”

According to him, the Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, came to the scene with a wealth of experience in the party and the three tiers of government.

The spokesperson said that the party chairman has been able to use his experience to unite the party, remove barriers and reconcile aggrieved party members.

“He (Ojelabi) has a reputation as a team player; humble, selfless and considerate. He consults far before taking decisions on party affairs.

“There is no doubt that his leadership style complements the important achievements of the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu, to ensure a smooth campaign that will ensure our victory.

“Since his tenure, he has diligently ensured that the party is not divided, by promoting fair-play and justice at all times,” he said.

According to him, despite the short notice, the Lagos Presidential rally at the Teslim Balogun Stadium organized by the party has been widely recognized as one of the best in terms of organization, mobilization, media coverage and security arrangements.

He said the same applies to the Governorship election in Mobolaji, Johnson Arena, Onikan.

Oladejo said that the State Campaign Committee was deliberately decentralized to be more participatory to reach the grassroots.

The spokesperson explained that the committee is made up of members of the Government Advisory Committee (GAC), members of the State Party Executive, members of the cabinet, members of the National Assembly, members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Chairman of the Council and other stakeholders with outstanding experience.

According to him, the greatest strength of the head of state is his approachable nature, which can expand the market of men and women, artisans, ethnics, youth and other stakeholders to the upcoming elections.
