All but done as Bianca takes six-shot lead into final round

Bianca Pagdanganan saved the $100,000 Anvaya Cove International on Thursday, practically putting the title in the bag after a second-round five-under-par 67 left the talented field six shots behind the Filipino long-hitters heading into the final 18 holes in Morong, Bataan.

The 25-year-old Pagdanganan had an eagle and six birdies to counter three bogeys for a 36-hole 136, with Taiwan’s Ya-Chun Chang and Thailand’s Pakin Kawinpakorn now left chasing first-round leader PK Kongkraphan’s loss.

With blustery gusts making the well-manicured peanuts even more difficult to crack, Pagdanganan showed why he had labeled another top cut even before the first tee shot was hit.

He opened with an eagle 2 when the 9-iron from 142 meters found the cup after bouncing in front of the green as Kongkraphan continued to take 75 to fall seven down. “I am quite satisfied with how I played today (yesterday). “I made some mistakes, but I bounced back,” Pagdanganan said. “It is very important to remain patient outside with many conditions – wind and heat. It is difficult to stay in the moment.
