Alina Habba Ripped For Utterly Bonkers Hot Take On Fox News

Critics are calling out Alina Habba, the acting U.S. attorney for New Jersey, for completely botching two key facts in just seconds during a Fox News interview on Thursday.

First, she claimed it’s the job of federal judges to “respect the president.”

Then, in nearly the same breath, she insisted that “almost 100 million people” voted for President Donald Trump.

Trump won about 77 million votes nationally during last year’s presidential election.

Habba, who has also served as one of Trump’s personal attorneys, was on the right-wing network to complain about a court ruling earlier in the day that found she is unlawfully in her position since her interim role was limited to 120 days.

Trump has been using interim appointments for Habba and others to bypass Senate confirmation requirements. But U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann said Thursday that her term ended in July.

Attorney General Pam Bondi called the ruling an “activist judicial attack” and vowed to appeal, and Habba seized on that during her Fox News interview, then went even further.

“The attorney general said it today. We will not fall to rogue judges,” Habba said. “We will not fall to people trying to be political when they should just be doing their job: respecting the president. And you can’t get rid of the president. Almost 100 million people voted for him, and he is still and will be forever the 45th and 47th president of the United States.”
