Alexia Echevarriayour husband Todd Nepola issued a public apology for Dr. Nicole Martinhis fiancee Anthony Lopezafter the two engaged in a strange argument Real Housewives of Miami.
In the scene, which took place at the couple’s lunch, Todd spoke negatively about Anthony’s business, after intervening in the question between Nicole and Alexia.
In a post shared by @allabouttrh on Instagram, Todd issued a public apology to Anthony.
“Anthony, I sincerely apologize for misrepresenting your company on TV in such a derogatory way,” Todd said, reading from a piece of paper. “Not only do I not have the right to mention your company, I don’t know about the company. It was stupid and uncalled for comment. TV disturbed me and I apologize.”
Todd expresses his hope that this “won’t create tension” for him moving forward, and then sends a card, flowers and Godiva chocolates – making reference to the argument, when Todd defends Anthony about sending flowers to others. .
“In this particular case, I made a public statement on TV, which meant I had to make a public apology, so I used social media to apologize to the entire Anthony team.”
Todd explains that he “never went in [his] wildest dreams” he imagined that the scene would “play out that way,” and claimed that “five minutes later” he and Anthony were “looking for it”, and had a drink together.
“And in fact, a few months later, he and I talked and discussed the possibility that I could manage some of the shopping centers that he had. I really thought that we would be fine,” he said. “But after seeing that scene on TV, I know that he feels he needs to apologize, which is true. He needs to apologize and everyone who works for him, and all the vendors associated with him. I was wrong.”
Todd indicated that he was “embarrassed by [his] behavior,” and suggests there’s a backstory to the action — referring to a “lawyer lunch,” when Nicole pulls out her “Amex card” and “gets stuck into a lawyer.”
He went on to claim the “inherent power” of the show “is coming in [my] ear,” telling how “this horrible situation” went down, asking Todd how he could let it happen in his own house.
According to Todd’s story, Alexia got into an argument with the producer while going to the couple’s lunch, because Alexia didn’t want to discuss her previous drama with Nicole during the meal.
Todd claimed Alexia “lost” the argument, and therefore discussed the matter at the table. But before that, the producer allegedly told Todd, “‘[You need to] stick up [for] your wife if this is hot, because if not, there are other men who did not stand up for their wives in this event and America destroyed these people.’”
Following the post, Anthony responded with an apology.
“No hard feelings Todd. I really appreciate the sentiment; even if it’s not necessary, it’s well received (like flowers and chocolates),” he wrote, via @queensofbravo on Instagram.
His wife Nicole added, “It’s nice to put this behind us.”
