On February 28, police arrested Dralin Carswell on a DUI charge following a high-speed chase.
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 17, was a passenger in the car. She remained unharmed despite the dangerous technique police used to stop her 21-year-old boyfriend’s vehicle.
Now, Alana loudly and proudly defends Dralin against critics.
Even Lauryn, the two sisters and her legal guardian, Tim Dralin in the wake of this arrest.

When you take your girlfriend in a high-speed police chase that ends in a sudden, terrifying stop and your arrest, there are a couple of major outcomes. Assuming that everyone makes it out alive, that is.
The first result is that they dump you, maybe even before they make a bond. And the second result is that they are quick to defend you to anyone who will listen.
Alana had chosen the second door. And even though fans bombarded him and her with criticism, he doubled down.

On TikTok Live, Alana and Lauryn tried to defend Dralin’s behavior.
“These cops are so crooked!” Alana yelled at the camera.
It’s not hard to believe. But is he suggesting that he actually framed Dralin for his crimes? Or just that they have unscrupulous motives to pull people over in the first place?

What’s surprising is that the arrest involved people who weren’t there at the time. People like Lauryn’s husband, Josh Efird.
He came to pick up Alana, who was only 17 years old and was supposed to get a ride home. (Reportedly, he came home from prison even though no one arrested him)
According to Alana, Josh told the police “F–k you, f–k your badge,” and “F–k everybody, I don’t give an af–k” for good measure.

According to these brothers, the police slapped a pair of cuffs on Josh. However, they did not arrest him.
Lauryn and Alana didn’t exactly give a coherent statement to explain.
One can only assume that Josh is angry that the police chase has jeopardized Alana’s safety. The technique used to stop the car was very dangerous. There may be more anger.

We know more about the arrest now than when we reported on it.
Apparently, the police officer decided to run Dralin’s plates – apparently at random – and found an outstanding warrant against the owner of the vehicle.
Officially, we don’t know what criteria the police use to run the plates. Of course, given the racism that exists in police institutions, some fans wondered if Alana suspected that racial profiling was being done. Famously, mixed-race couples in cars found this practice a target.

However, others took to Alana’s direct TikTok comments to give her hell for defending Dralin.
“[Commenter] talking about, ‘I’m sorry, I’m not a fan anymore.’ Baby, I don’t care. I don’t care,” said Alana.
He added: “At the end of the day, I’m still going to have the most-watched TV show on WeTV, so I don’t give an af–k.”

While we’re not sure if that’s the strongest argument, Alana notes that some critics may be rooting for someone “worse” than Dralin.
“All the fuss people make on TikTok and s–t and you’re still supporting the f–k out of them,” he said. “He did worse than Dralin did!”
Lauryn replied: “I’m trying to tell you all. Y’all are here supporting a woman beater… And you’re worried about Dralin running from the damn cops. So seriously!”

“Baby, at the end of the day, I’m still going to make money,” Alana mocked after noting Dralin didn’t do methamphetamines. That’s pretty specific.
“You’re mad because y’all broke and your bum bum is sitting on y’all’s couch right now worrying about what the f–k Honey Boo Boo is going to happen,” he admitted. “When you have to worry about how to make money!”
He and Lauryn then went on to make colorful lifestyle choices for critics – the ever-growing number of baby daddys, his use of methamphetamines, and his Waffle House stint. amazing PR strategy.

Alana then decided to brag that she had been “famous since she came out of the womb”.
He added: “Since I was six. Tell me how old I am now, boy.
Alana then jabbed: “You can’t make it like me.” You know what? That’s right.
