
The killers of rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (AKA) and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane are still at large, KwaZulu Natal (KZN) police confirmed on Saturday night.
Talk to The Warga shortly before 8pm, KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda said there were no new developments in the case.

Pressed further on whether the police were confident they could find the suspect, Netshiunda replied: “Investigations are ongoing, so we can only speak now.”
The deceased was shot and killed at close range on Florida Road, Durban on the evening of February 10, 2023.

In an earlier statement, police said they were investigating two counts of murder.
“Information from the police at this stage indicates that the men were walking to their vehicle from the restaurant when they were allegedly approached by two armed suspects who walked from across the street and shot the victim at close range.

“The suspects reportedly fled the scene on foot,” the statement read.

The shocking incident drew a lot of reactions from fans, grieving families as well as the Government.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Gauteng Provincial Executive Committee (PEC) African National Congress (ANC) Lekgotla, party chairman Panyaza Lesufi said the killings were confirmation that illegal gun owners can decide who lives and who dies.
“Those who have illegal guns can play God and choose who should leave this world,” Lesufi said during a TV news interview.

Police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist the investigation and arrest the suspect.
