The national chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah jokingly stated that the party chose to hold a national thanksgiving service at the Perez International Chapel in Dzorwulu because the leader and founder of the church, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare took one of the ‘bad boys’ in the NDC and turned him into an elder in the church.

General Nyamuk by the name of Mr. Nketiah, explained: “when we were looking [for where to be the thanksgiving service]we realized there was a certain church that took one of our bad boys [Sam George] and turning him into an elder, we know that Perez Chapel International is a church to be reckoned with.

Mr. Nketiah went on to say that another reason to live in Perez Chapel is the courageous personality of its founder, Archbishop Agyinasare who is not afraid to speak truth to power.

“Another consideration is that the country is in crisis, and we need people who are brave and do not fear God to speak, and we see and understand that there is this Archbishop who strongly warned the NDC when he thinks that we have done what -what’s wrong and when he realizes that others are doing wrong, he speaks up and that’s why we chose Perez Chapel International.

He closed his speech by asking the congregation to continue to pray for the NDC.

“We want to continue to ask the Archbishop and the congregation to continue to pray for us.”

This is a service the NDC is doing to thank God for a successful regional and national executive congress.
