The founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, Patricia Asiedua Koranteng, popularly known as Nana Agradaa yesterday escaped a court warrant for failing to appear in court after the Accra Circuit Court decided to pardon her.
Agradaa, who is on trial on charges of charlatanic advertising and six counts of fraud by false pretenses, failed to appear in court for his trial.
The prosecutor, Superintendent Sylvester Asare, also told the court that the accused failed to report to the police as part of his bail conditions and efforts to make him comply with court orders have been difficult.
According to the prosecutor, Nana Agradaa, alias Evangelist Mama Pat, is not cooperating with the Police.

He said the Police received information in another Circuit Court that the accused did not know the next adjourned date, however, his representative knew the date, and he (agent) appeared in court.
Bench warrant
The prosecution submitted that the only way to compel the accused to appear in court is for the court to issue a warrant.
“The accused has refused to comply with all bail conditions. He has not reported to the police because he has been directed to do so. The only way to get him to comply is to issue an arrest warrant,” said Supt Asare. court.
Nana Agradaa’s counsel, Mr. Paul Asibi Abariga, said he had filed documents before the court, showing that his client was unwell.
Mr. Abariga therefore prayed the court to ignore the prosecution’s submissions, inviting the court to issue a warrant.
The court, presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah, asked defense counsel to advise Nana Agradaa, who has three different cases before three Circuit Courts in Accra.
Case
Before the 9th Circuit Court, he was arrested on six counts of fraud by false pretenses and charlatanic advertising in the media.
