The Adamawa State Government, in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and supported by development partners, has flagged off the distribution of more than two million insecticide-treated mosquito nets to over one million residents as part of renewed efforts to reduce the burden of malaria across the state.
The campaign was officially launched by the Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, marking the commencement of the 2026 Integrated Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) and Insecticide-Treated Nets Campaign in Adamawa State.
The initiative is aimed at reducing malaria-related illnesses and deaths, particularly among children under five years of age and pregnant women, while promoting healthier communities across the state.
