Abia people will be politically liberated, says Emenike | The Guardian Nigeria News

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Chief Ikechi Emenike, has declared 2023 as the year of liberation for the people of the state, who have not received the dividend of democracy for over two decades.

In his new year message to the people and all citizens of the country, Emenike noted that 2023 will be an extraordinary year in the history of Abia.
He said: “This is the year to end godfatherism in Abia; the year to send looters out of government houses; the year to break the chain of transfer of power among people who have no idea of ​​good governance.

The gubernatorial candidate of the faction explained that with the arrival of the New Year, the 2023 election has entered the homestretch, which will culminate in the election; hence, the need for Abians to prepare and vote for change.

He advised Abia voters to leave nothing behind as the 2023 general election has presented us with “a great opportunity to take back our country from the looting of our collective heritage.”

“We must save our country so that it can develop and become a true country of God with transparency, accountability and people-oriented governance.

The development economist expressed his determination to lead the Abia Rescue Movement to success at the polls. He promised to set up building blocks to enable the holistic development of the country.

He called on Abia youths to overcome the discomfort associated with unemployment, assuring them that they would create sustainable employment.

Emenike also encouraged the mothers to renew their hopes of a new dawn in Abia where they will be empowered to take care of their families. He assured mothers that their children would find employment after graduating from higher institutions.

He said: “Abia is now on the brink of a long-awaited break from the past, characterized by the destruction of infrastructure and the looting of resources meant for the execution of projects and the payment of salaries.

“We must work together, as individuals, groups, leaders, stakeholders, fathers, mothers to save our country from dark stagnation. The opportunity to do this has come.
