School is out! Sheryl Lee Ralph, Janelle James and others Abbott Elementary School The star attended the 2023 SAG Awards in style.
The cast strutted down the red carpet at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Century City, California, on Sunday, February 26. Ralph, 66, wore a dramatic gown by Tadashi Shoji with long draping sleeves. She flashes a big smile for the camera as she shows off her angles.
James, meanwhile, opted for a classic all-black look. Her custom Rodarte gown included lace detailing on the sleeves and skirt.
At bump alum joined the costar Tyler James Williams on the red carpet to discuss the massive success of ABC’s comedy. Abbott Elementary School, which premiered in December 2021, received a 2023 SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Creator and star Quinta Brunson up for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
“It’s crazy that this is about season 1. … We’ve talked a lot about the show that we love,” he said. Everyone hates Chris alum, 30, told Entertainment Weekly on Sunday’s show. “But it’s been too long.”
Fans have been eagerly waiting for James’ character, Gregory, to make a move on Janine (Brunson) – and the sparks finally flew between the teachers during the Wednesday, February 22, episode. The two attended a conference with Abbott’s colleagues and shared a kiss at a live class exhibit at the Philadelphia Flower Show.
“A lot of highlights from season 2, you haven’t seen,” Williams teased Sunday when asked about what Gregory and Janine will be doing next. “Sometimes it’s hard not to let it go [slip].”
Earlier this month, Ralph hinted at even bigger surprises on the way to Abbott Elementary School fans “I like the fact that Gregory took time to learn about himself as a man. Janine took time to learn about herself as a woman – working on some sticky relationships. I think that’s very important for both of them because I just love Janine and Gregory, ” he exclusively told Us Weekly. “I was just like, ‘You’re all respectful. Be careful and take your time.'”
At Moesha alum plays coy about the future of Gregory and Janine’s relationship. “I can’t tell you anything about what will happen. But you will learn and see more people’s families and that is very good,” he said us. “And I’m sure it’s going to be a satisfying season. [They will be] very satisfied.”
