Abandoned E- block project left to rot in the bush at New Edubiase Apagya

The school is one of the unfinished E block projects and is being used by the government.

Weed has taken over the main part of the facility. Years of neglect caused the roof to collapse.

The doors and windows of the building have been damaged and the structure is starting to crack due to the government’s long-term neglect.

The development is worrying for residents of the area.

Chief Apagya, Baffuor Gyankokor II believes that the completion and operation of the project will bring great benefits to the region.

He said, “I don’t seem to understand why the facility is not operational looking at the amount of money that has been invested in creating the project. We do not have a secondary school in this area and for that matter, our children must continue their second cycle education elsewhere.”

“At the very least, the operation of this school will open up this area and expand economic activity as well. The government must complete the work and create operational facilities.”

Some concerned residents have appealed to the government to complete the project in the interest of the residents.
