These are the traumatized words of a survivor of the Nova Music Festival held on October 7th, 2023. The yearly festival is a gathering of young people celebrating peace and love while dancing freely in nature. Reminiscent of the Holocaust, Hamas, a terrorist hater of Jews took the lives of these innocent young people in the most heinous and humiliating ways. They also took 254 hostages. Ninety seven hostages are expected to still be alive. Hamas is known to have executed six and some have been rescued or released. The level torture, hunger, and deprivation of medical care is haunting to imagine.
Forty nations of people attended the Nova festival. However the main target by Hamas was Israel and Jews. The festival massacre was the largest attack and atrocities committed against Jews since the Holocaust. Haters of Jews are dedicated to extinguishing their existence in the world. It is essential for non- Jews to understand the the importance of the survival of Israel for the Jews. Having a homeland after centuries of being hated and hunted, Jews continue to be vigilant about fighting anti- Semitism and protecting Israel’s right to exist.These are the clothes of many of the human beings who lost their lives on the once joy-filled grounds of the Nova Festival. This is what was left of the cars that had transported the concert goers just hours before the rockets and guns took their young lives. The torture and suffering inflicted on the victims of Nova by the Hamas terrorists rivals that of Nazi concentration camp gestapos. Haters of Jews are not satisfied to merely shoot them dead. They are driven by a level of hatred so extreme that in their dark minds committing rape, dismemberment and humiliation is justified.The grief-stricken faces of mourners at the funeral of one of their own is gut-wrenching. The massacre, being referred to as the second Holocaust, reminded Jews, especially those in Israel, how alive anti-Semitism still is. SHOCKINGLY, ANTI- SEMITISM HAS BEEN ON THE RISE IN AMERICA DUE TO THE LEGITIMIZING OF WHITE NATIONALISM AND A TOLERANCE FOR NAZI GROUPS BY DONALD TRUMP.
The Jews who survived the Nova Massacre, the families of those who were killed, and the families of hostages are resilient and determined to live as proud Jews. The world needs to stand by the Jews and fight anti-Semitism and bigotry in any form. Any political leader who tolerates, supports or ignores any level of anti- Semitism or racism should be deemed unfit to run for office.
