Several shops have been destroyed after an inferno tore through a section of the timber market and displaced squatters in Kaase-Angola in the Ashanti Region.
The fire, which started on Sunday around 4 a.m., destroyed wood milling machines, wood products, logs, and belongings of the refugees.

This is the second fire incident recorded in the Ashanti Region over the weekend after a seven-bedroom apartment was also destroyed in Tafo Municipality.
The victims of the Kaase-Angola incident said they had nowhere to lay their heads and looked elsewhere for help from friends and relatives.
