Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin said this when the House resumed proceedings on Tuesday, February 7.
While welcoming MPs back to the DPR, Mr. Bagbin wanted the minority leader to come out well in his endeavours.
“Former member of KPU Kab [Minority] The leadership led by Haruna Iddrisu is to be commended for his record of performance for all to see, and I hope the new leader will learn from his source of wisdom, wealth and experience.
“What I can say to the previous leader is, the Lord is your shepherd, you will not want and when one door closes, another door opens and I tell you that the door that is opened is better and higher than the door that is closed. Look at the door that is open. and not a closed door and with this, I welcome you all again”.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) changed its leadership in Parliament on January 24, 2023.
Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson replaces Haruna Iddrisu as Minority Leader.
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP for Ellembelle also replaces Ketu North MP, James Klutse Avedzi as Deputy Minority Leader while Kwame Agbodza takes over from Asawase MP Muntaka Mubarak as Minority Chief Whip.
