The drama continues. 90 Day Engagement‘s Yve Arellano made headlines in August when he was charged with domestic assault and battery.
Us Weekly It was confirmed on August 22 that the 48-year-old TV personality was charged with one count of battery and one count of assault on a family member one week earlier. In Touch the first to report the news.
The scandal broke a few days after her husband Mohamed Abdel Hamed‘s alleged text message fling came to light on the August 21 episode of 90 Day Engagement: Tell Everyone. The episode was recorded before the alleged attack took place.
“It was really shocking, raw, disappointing, sad,” said the acupuncturist, who married Mohamed in January, during the season 9 episode.
Meanwhile, Mohamed, 25, admitted in a confessional interview, “I know I was wrong. I told the same story with my wife and promised her it would never happen again. I love Yve, and she doesn’t deserve it.
Trouble in Yve and Mohamed’s marriage became more apparent when she filed a domestic violence lawsuit against the New Mexico native on August 15. According to a police report obtained by usMohamed told the officer that his wife “became very violent and angry” when he drank alcohol, alleging that the incident was not the first time Yve had been violent towards him. In Touch first reported the filing, which stated that Mohamed moved out of the home they shared two days before the incident.
Officer Jasmine Romero reported that Mohamed said he had not called the police because he was “scared.” The TV personality further gave the officer an audio recording from July which featured Yve shouting at him. In the recording, Mohamed can be heard “telling Yvette not to hit her again,” according to the officer’s report.
“As recently as Sunday morning, August 14, 2022, he said Yvette put both hands on each side of his face and said, ‘Can you feel that?’ He said he was drunk and he was afraid he was going to hit him when he did this,” Romero said. “Because he was violent when he drank alcohol. He packed his bag and left the house.”
Manager Yves Dominique Enchinton from Dominton Talent House told us Friday, August 22, that Mohamed “domestic abuse allegations are completely false and just a ploy to keep him in the US”
