It’s time to 90 Day Engagement: Another Way Season 4! Finally!
This season features a lot of new faces – which the audience is looking forward to. It also offers some long-standing representation.
Gabriel Paboga and Isabel Posada are one of the new couples this season. He must discover whether Isabel’s family will accept him and his relationship.
In the clip below, Gabe introduces himself – and his business. He has his own company!

We know from the first trailer (and the press release that came with it) that Gabe is a businessman.
He is from Florida. He has his own business. And he was traveling to Colombia for work when he first met Isabel.
The two have fallen in love. However, as the trailer makes clear, Gabe isn’t sure how his family will react to him.

The trailer was really hyped up without explaining what could be the “secret”. Some viewers understand and others don’t.
Gabriel is transgender. While one doesn’t usually think of heterosexual relationships like this facing adversity, well, anti-trans fanatics are very real and very deadly. And no, not just in the US and UK.
We know nothing about Isabel’s parents. And of course we hope that the story will include love and acceptance during the season.

However, in the Season 4 premiere, we’re not there yet.
Gabriel has not “met his parents”. He introduced himself, so the audience was now meeting him.
He also explained his business. And it’s kind of unknown to some people outside of the LGBTQ+ community.

In the video below, Gabriel explains that his business, GMPwear, sells padded underwear for trans people.
Not all transgender people experience physical dysphoria, but some do. Having a different shape to the underwear, as if having external genitalia, can be a source of comfort.
Especially for people who are planning to have bottom surgery – that is, genital surgery. Or if they just see how it feels when they decide.
As Gabriel is quick to point out in the video, many trans people are already wearing “packers”. But they are inconvenient, heavy, and sometimes fall out.
(There’s a funny anecdote from last year of a trans guy whose packer fell out in high school and conspicuously rolled across the floor. The supportive teacher, maybe not sure what else to say, just joked “I hate it when that happens”)
We are excited to see Gabriel and Isabel’s story soon. Until then, we’re just excited to have him as part of the cast.
