“2024 must win in Ayawaso West Wuogon. As a parliamentary candidate in 2020, we closed the gap from 10,000 to less than 1,900 through hard work. It’s time to sit down,” Dumelo wrote on Facebook. “Let’s all join in.”
He has announced his intention to contest the NDC primaries to be the candidate in the constituency ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Meanwhile, Fred Nuamah, the famous actor and CEO of Ghana Movie Awards has also picked his nomination form for the nomination contest from the same constituency.
The contest between these two celebrities is expected to be heated as they are all heavyweights.
Dumelo contested the parliamentary elections in 2020 against incumbent MP Lydia Seyram Alhassan, but his margin shrank compared to previous elections in the constituency between the NDC and the NPP.
