2023 election: Atiku wins in Akwa-Ibom, defeats Tinubu, Obi, Kwankwaso | The Guardian Nigeria News

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has been declared the winner of the Saturday, February 25 presidential election in Akwa-Ibom state.

Atiku polled a total of 214,012 votes according to the results announced on Tuesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) collating officer for all Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the country.

Atiku’s closest rival in the state, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emerged with a total of 160,620 votes.

On the other hand, the Labor Party, Peter Obi, polled 132,683 votes while the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, trailed with 7,796 votes.

A total of 2,357,418 voters were registered in the country, according to the INEC collection officer, and 594,450 were accredited, while the number of valid votes was 555,089, the number of rejected 321,328, and the total number of votes. which is 587,417.
