145 SEC Track & Field Athletes Earn All-America Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 14, 2023)—–A total of 145 Southeastern Conference track and field student-athletes earned NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field All-America honors, according to an announcement by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Athletes from member institutions who finish in the top 8 in individual events and relays at the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships receive First-Team All-America honors, while those who place ninth through 16th individually and as a division. of the relay earned Second-Team All-America. The remaining athletes are respected.

SEC student-athletes earned a total of 189 All-America honors and 133 first-team honors.

The Arkansas men’s and women’s teams swept the NCAA titles last weekend in Albuquerque, NM It was the first sweep of the men’s and women’s championships since 2016. SEC teams were placed No. 1-3 in the final men’s standings. Arkansas is first with 63 points, followed by Georgia with 40 and Florida with 34. Alabama is also placed in the top-10 with nine place finishes. Florida is third in the women’s standings with 45 points, and Georgia is fifth with 31. Alabama and Tennessee are tied for seventh, while Ole Miss is 10th.
