In an email in the newly released files related to disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Epstein’s brother appears to suggest there is a photo of President Donald Trump “blowing” a person named Bubba.
On Wednesday, the House Oversight Committee released thousands of documents related to the estate of Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 awaiting his trial for sex trafficking charges.
The email, dated March 2018, is from Epstein’s brother, Mark Epstein, in which he emails Jeffrey Epstein and writes, “Ask him if Putin has the photos of Trump blowing Bubba.” During the 1992 presidential election, former President Bill Clinton gained the nickname “Bubba” for his “folksy manner,” leading many on social media to believe Clinton was the Bubba mentioned in the email.
But Mark Epstein told Newsweek that the Bubba referred to in that email is not Clinton, and Mark Epstein’s rep told the Advocate that the Bubba in the email refers to a “private individual who is not a public figure.” Clinton’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In a comment to HuffPost, Abigail Jackson, a White House spokesperson, said the Epstein emails “prove literally nothing.”
“Democrats and the mainstream media are desperately trying to use this hoax as a distraction to talk about anything other than the President’s many wins, including the Democrats getting utterly defeated by President Trump in the shutdown fight,” Jackson said. “We won’t be distracted, and the entire Administration will continue fulfilling the promises the President was elected on, including cutting the Biden-era price hikes.”
In other emails, Jeffrey Epstein appeared to suggest that Trump knew about his criminal activity. Trump “knew about the girls,” he wrote in one of the emails. Trump had a long friendship with Jeffrey Epstein before the two had a falling out in 2004 over a piece of real estate.
Clinton also reportedly had a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, but after Epstein’s arrest in 2019, Clinton’s rep has said that he did not know about Epstein’s criminal activity.
Still, social media has taken the rumor about Clinton and Epstein and run with it. Social media comedians A Twink and A Redhead made a parody video saying they were in the room where Trump “sucked” Clinton “allegedly.”
One person wrote on social media, “Please universe give me a news conference where Donald Trump is forced to say, “I did not have sexual relations with Bill Clinton.”
