As former President Donald Trump seeks to return to the Oval Office, 31% of registered voters have a favorable opinion of him, while 59% have an unfavorable opinion of him – the best rating he has received among registered voters since July 2015, according to to a just-released Quinnipiac University national poll.
Among Republican voters, 70% have a favorable opinion of Trump, while 20% have an unfavorable opinion. That’s his favorite ranking among Republican voters in a Quinnipiac University poll since March 2016.
Among independent voters, only 25% have a favorable opinion of Trump, while 62% have an unfavorable opinion. This is the best rating among independent voters since Quinnipiac University first asked registered voters in May 2015. Quinnipiac, it should be noted, is the leading US pollster.
Seven in 10 registered voters said they would not like to see Donald Trump as the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, while 25% said they would like to see him run. Among Republican voters, 56% said they would like to see Trump as the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, while 38% said they would not like to see him run.
My only WH2024 bet so far is that Trump is not the nominee.
