It will save the government and the Tory party no problem. Imagine the relief you’ll feel because you don’t have to pretend to follow the rules. The opposition parties will be happy to be Grade A hypocrites. Voters can ignore Sunak’s guff about “integrity, professionalism and accountability“. And we can all laugh. God knows we need it. It’s not like we’re going to get much else from either of them.
