Meek Mill backs off burglary charges
The rapper on December 31 denied claims that his phone was stolen during his visit to Ghana for this year’s Afro Nation music festival.
“He picked my pocket for my phoneeeeeee SMH… Repeat that Jawn if you get it!!” he wrote on his IG story.
The phone was found and returned to the Philadelphia rapper on Friday (December 30) by the Ghanaian Police who said they had arrested the suspect identified as Nuhu Sule.
“I want to thank you for returning my phone, man,” Meek can be heard saying in a video posted on his Instagram Story showing the phone being returned. “You didn’t let him hack me or anything, did you, Commander?”
Meek later admitted that his phone was not stolen and that it may have fallen out of his pocket while he was out riding his bike.
“I could put that phone on my motorcycle, I don’t know if someone actually reached into my pocket!” he tweeted Friday night.
“I’m returning everything I need, I don’t need someone locked to my phone,” he wrote. “I don’t even know what’s going on.”
