There is a new sister of the old horror in the city and viewers from His wife just don’t understand why Tshedi Montsho, played by actress Mo Setumo, took things the way he did.
According to Showmax, Tshedi is the elder daughter of Kgosi Montsho and younger sister of Naledi. However, he was never as smart as Naledi and from an early age, he could tell that Naledi was Kgosi’s favourite.

What makes your character interesting?
Tshedi is very layered, she always plans and you never know what she has up her sleeve. I think that gives him an interesting element. He is always up for something.

How can the audience relate to your character?
First of all, please don’t make any assumptions about my character because if you do and you are my sister, you will be in trouble. Tshedi is a problem for Naledi, for her father and I hope you have nothing to do with it.
Do you know anyone in real life who is like Tshedi?
There are many, but I can’t name them because I can’t reveal them. But it’s true, knowing how parents always make the older sibling the parent and the youngest the favorite. Parents should start loving their children and treating them as equals. That way, they will not have Tshedi’s condition.
Other than Tshedi, who is the most interesting character in The Wife, and why?
I found Ntsika, Zulu’s youngest sister, very interesting.
Why is Sefako better suited to Naledi?
At first, Tshedi was in disbelief. If Naledi marries Sefako, Tshedi will not get what she wants. I also think people should be able to go with who they really love. They don’t need to be told who to love. So Naledi had to go with the one she loved and the one who said Mo.
What is it about Setswana culture that makes the story interesting?
I love that question. I think we are always viewed as a sweet and gullible tribe. Now you’ll see that we’ve also got bombs, we’ve also got fire and they can kill. But with elegance.
