MANILA, Philippines – After a brief stint in the Japan B.League, Justine Baltazar is likely to head to the Korean Basketball League (KBL) next.
Pampanga team consultant Allan Trinidad said Baltazar is currently negotiating with the KBL team with his stints with the G Lanterns in the Pilipinas Super League just a pitstop.
“He is fixing his contract in Korea first. When it’s not fixed, they will play us first,” Trinidad said during an interview at halftime of the match against San Pedro last Thursday at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando.

The Baltazar camp has not revealed the KBL team that is currently being discussed.
The former La Salle star was with the Hiroshima Dragonflies last week as he only saw limited action with a total of 13:36 minutes of playing time in eight games, for which he had just two points, one rebound, one assist, and one steal. .
On Tuesday, PSL announced that Baltazar will be part of the G Lanterns roster. Although they missed the first two games, Pampanga beat San Pedro and Quezon City to open the Pro Division Second Conference Dumper Cup.
Trinidad understands that the Gilas Pilipinas striker wants to spend more time with his family first before he strengthens the Pampanga roster if he plays in January.
“Justine first asked me to concentrate on my family for the two games. I hope in January I can play before I go to Korea,” he said.

After officially becoming an importer in KBL, Baltazar will join RJ Abarrientos, Rhenz Abando, SJ Belangel, Ethan Alvano, and Justine Gutang as well as Dave Ildefonso, who will join Suwon KT Sonicboom.
