Pelé changed everything. He changed football became art, entertainment. He gave a voice to the poor, to the Blacks and above all he gave Brazil visibility. Football and Brazil rose to the top thanks to the King! He is gone, but his magic will remain . Pele is eternal!”— Brazilian star Neymar.

“Today football says goodbye to the best thing. The man who surprised the world and changed the history of the game forever. You will always be the greatest, because 60 years ago, with all the difficulties you faced, you did what only a few people can do today. People who dedicate 1000 times goals for children and make our country discover that they can do more” – Brazilian player Richarlison
“Pele is dead. The most magical of football players and fun people. They play games only a select few are close to. 3 times he lifted the most coveted gold trophy in that beautiful yellow shirt. He may have left us, but he certainly has football immortality. RIP Pele” – Former England player and broadcaster Gary Linker
