GPL: Defeat to Karela United very disappointing â?? Dreams FC coach Winfred Dormon
The head coach of Dreams FC, Winfred Dormon, has expressed his disappointment with the team’s narrow defeat to Karela United in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend.
The Still Believe side hosted the team from Tamale on Sunday in a Week 22 fixture of the 2025/26 league campaign.
In a game played at Tuba AstroTurf, Karela United battled to secure a 1-0 triumph, handing Dreams FC what is their first home defeat of the season.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Winfred Dormon described the result as unfortunate and disappointing, insisting that his team expected to take all three points.
“It’s very unfortunate, very disappointing because this is not the kind of result we were expecting. We started the game very slowly, but we grew confident in the game. At the break, we came in and opened them up to create some chances,” the Dreams FC coach told journalists after the match.
Dormon added, “It’s unfortunate that against the run of play they broke and they managed to score. It is football. We need to pick ourselves up and make sure we respond against Nations FC, which will also be a difficult game.”
After the defeat to Karela United, Dreams FC will now hope to return to winning ways next weekend when the team travels to Abrankese to take on Nations FC.
