Speaking on Joy TV’s Newfile, “The third edition of the Joy Change-Speakers Series” he notes that during that time, he saw only lip service paid to the war, with no significant commitment.
He said that energy and support should be diverted to fight the menace so that the country can make meaningful inroads in the fight against corruption.
“For the government, is the government ready to fight corruption? From where I sat, I didn’t see much. I haven’t seen much commitment. How many times have I heard lip service to the fight against corruption”
He also called on the Parliament and the general public to be more dedicated to fighting corruption together.
This he said would complement the efforts of other state offices and agencies committed to fighting corruption.
“If we want to fight corruption, we all have to participate” he urged.
He promised that the OSP will protect all those who provide information on corrupt practices
Mr. Agyabeng’s admonition to be more determined to eradicate corruption is a message that is said to be discussed by others who participated in the conversation.
Know that those who commit corruption will be found, prosecuted, and jailed sooner rather than later.
Corruption has been a major issue during the year under review, with the Office of the Special Prosecutor leading the fight against it.
