Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong reunite after years, perform together

The two veterans were seen performing together for the first time in years during a musical show called, “The Legends Night”.

During the performance at Legenda Night which took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center (AICC), Charles Kwadwo Fosu also known as Daddy Lumba paid tribute to his former group member and friend Nana Acheampong.

According to him, Nana Acheampong introduced him to the Highlife genre and also contributed to his career.

“When I went to Germany, I did gospel until I found Nana Acheampong who introduced me to Highlife. He played a major role in my music career and I owe him a lot. said.

Until they both fell apart, they formed a group known as the Lumba Brothers.

Although the couple planned to release an album in 1986, financial constraints did not allow it. The album was finally released in 1989 with the help of Lumba’s husband, Akosua Serwaa, who produced the album. The title of the album is Yɛkəy Aka Akwantuo Mu.
