Cristiano Ronaldo signed a two-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr on Friday, Saudi state TV reported al-Ekhbariya reporting on the website.

Sky Sports News have contacted Ronaldo’s representatives but are yet to comment.

Al Nassr has not yet confirmed the deal through an online platform.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure from Manchester United was mentioned briefly in the matchday program ahead of the Carabao Cup tie against Burnley, but it was not in manager Eric ten Hag’s notes.

Al-Ekhbariya reports that he will start with Al-Nassr in January.

The 37-year-old left Manchester United last month on the eve of the World Cup.

It followed an explosive television interview in which the striker said he felt betrayed by the club and disrespected by Dutch manager Erik ten Hag.

Neville: Time to move on from Ronaldo

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville says Ronaldo’s exit is sad but inevitable, and the time has come for both sides.

“The only thing Manchester United can do is draw a line in the Ronaldo affair,” Neville said Sky Sports. “They cannot allow this situation to come to this World Cup, so they have to sleep.

Jamie Redknapp, Mauricio Pochettino, Juan Sebastian Veron, Clarence Seedorf and others debate which is better between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“They have handled it very quickly and the way it ended was the best for both sides.

“It’s sad that it ended this way, but it’s inevitable, it has to end. He will continue to play football elsewhere and I hope he does well, and Manchester United can progress under Erik ten Hag.”
