Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen has inspired Ghanaians to look forward to the future as 2023 holds promise.
He said that despite the difficulties facing the country in 2022, the measures taken with the help of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will help change the situation for the better.
Speaking at the New Year’s Eve service at the Calvary Charismatic Church (CCC) in Kumasi, he urged Ghanaians to believe in prudent economic management because against serious odds, Ghanaians have weathered the global economic crisis better than any other country.
“Find from the most developed countries like England, the United States, Germany or France, from North to South, East and West, look and find some who are queuing for bread, gasoline and cooking oil. This is even a rich country. , but for mercy -by the grace of God we have never queued for petrol or this commodity,” he said.
“This is not because of our strength or knowledge or the power of the government. It is by the grace of God”, the Minister said and asked Ghanaians to thank God for his mercy on the nation.
Mr. Kyerematen talked about the sufferings of other countries in the world like Ghana today.
He thanked the Almighty God for his mercy on Ghanaians at a time when the globally respected economy was prostrated.
Mr Kyerematen ended the year 2022 with a prayer to Faith Gospel Church, Family Chapel International, St Cyprian Anglican Cathedral, CCC to celebrate the year 2023.
