Barbara Walters, one of the most successful and respected journalists of her generation, died Friday night, according to the star’s rep.
He is 93 years old.
“Barbara Walters passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones,” Cindi Berger said in a statement, adding:
“She lived a great life. She lived without regrets. She was a trailblazer not only for women journalists, but for all women.

During his career, Walters wrote for CBS News… worked on The Today Show… worked alongside ABC Evening News… reported for 20/20… from the program in 2014.
Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger also announced Walters’ death, tweeting that the “one-of-a-kind reporter” had died at his New York home.
“Barbara is a true legend, a pioneer, not only for women in journalism but journalism itself,” wrote Iger, noting that her friend and colleague of 30 years has obtained some of the “most important interviews of our time.”

Walters never remarried after divorcing her third husband, Merv Adelson, in 1992.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (“Jackie”) Danforth, with ex-husband Lee Guber.
