Andy Cohen believe James Corden took a nod from him Watch What Happens Live adjust when it comes to designing yourself.

When appearing in an episode of friends Bruce Bozzi‘s podcast earlier this week, the late-night talk show host and Real Housewives exec open about the similarity of the set, feeling left out of the late-night television group, and the relationship with Anderson Cooper and John Mayer.

“I would argue that Watch What Happens Live redefining what a late night talk show is…[WWHL] is the first bar of the night – James Corden got a bar,” said Andy on iHeartMedia and Air Mail Table for two with Bruce Bozzi. “James Corden is injured [ripping off our set].”

But he didn’t care.

“I’m so glad we’re still going, it’s like, a big copy of my plane – go with God,” he said.

According to Andy, he never felt like he was part of the late night crew, including James, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyersand Jimmy Kimmel.

“I don’t feel completely part of it [late-night television] My group and I have been on TV for 13 years at night,” he said, hinting at a Vanity Fair photoshoot years earlier.

“Vanity Fair did all the late night talk show hosts and they left me out, but added in James Corden who wasn’t on the air yet, and Trevor Noah who just started,” he explained.

In terms of his personal life, Andy wonders why he is still single.

“I feel like I’m single forever because the bar in people is so high,” she advises. “I have a best friend, so I compare new people to people I’ve known for a long time. I’m open to it. Now I have two children – do people really look for a 54-year-old man with two children?”

While Andy has not been dating, he has been spending a lot of time with his longtime friend and CNN New Year’s co-host Anderson, who also has two children.

“We are geriatric patients who are hobbling around chasing after their children, but they seem to be something else,” he said. “I think what’s going to be really interesting for us, as it develops, is being a gay dad and when the kids start realizing, ‘Oh, I have a gay dad.’ I really like Ben [Cohen] will grow up with Wyatt [Cooper] and Ben will grow up watching Anderson and Benjamin [Maisani] raise Wyatt and Sebastian.

Also during the interview, Andy admitted that when it comes to John, he’s not your average straight guy.

“John Mayer is a very emotional person,” Andy explained. “He very quickly in our friendship started saying, ‘You know, I have to tell you, I love you.’ He is the one who says, ‘I love you and I respect you and I value our friendship’ – these are the only things that straight men should never say.
