Accra Police Assure Public of Robust Security for Eid-ul-Fitr Celebrations

The Accra Regional Police Command has assured the public of comprehensive security measures ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations across the Region.

In a statement, the Command said sufficient police personnel have been deployed to strategic locations, including mosques, Eid prayer grounds, major roads, markets, transport terminals, and other public spaces to safeguard lives and property.

Special traffic management teams will regulate vehicular movement before, during, and after the prayers to reduce congestion and promote road safety. Additionally, patrol teams will intensify visibility policing in communities to deter crime and respond quickly to emergencies.

The Police Command urged the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with deployed personnel, and promptly report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station. Motorists and pedestrians are also advised to follow traffic regulations to ensure a safe and orderly celebration.

The Accra Regional Police Command extended warm wishes to all Muslims and the general public for a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Fitr.
