Fire building on Graphic Road
A storey-buliding around the Rana Motors area along Graphic Road in Accra has been razed by fire.
The unfortunate incident happened at about 10 o’clock on Tuesday evening, according to a report by the Ghana National Fire Service.
Video of the incident confirmed the raging fire sweeping through the structure with thick smoke billows as a result of the inferno.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. The exact building has also not been determined at the time of this report.
But dozens of firefighters are on the ground trying to control the remaining pockets of fire.
Unfortunately, during the efforts by the officers to douse the fire, a part of the building collapsed and one of the GNFS personnel was seriously injured in the process.
The affected officer is said to be in critical condition, undergoing treatment.
