
Primary 4 student, Sofo Ampomaah, 10 has been electrocuted in Beppoh in Lembah Prestea Huni Municipality in the Western Region, Saturday, January 7.
Member of the Beppoh Constituency Assembly, Thomas Kofi Enyam, said the boy was playing with his friends when he came into contact with a live electric wire on the ground.
He said the unsuspecting boy was electrocuted after putting a live wire into his mouth. He died on arrival at the Beppoh CHPS complex.
According to the Assembly Member, the live wire is the connection between the two shops, which fell a few days ago and was not maintained. The case has been reported to the police but no arrests have been made yet.
Meanwhile, the deceased has been kept at Bawdie mortuary awaiting autopsy
