It’s official:
Lisa Rinna is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The longtime reality star confirmed the departure on Thursday night, saying:
“This is the longest project I’ve worked on in my 35-year career and I’m grateful to everyone at Bravo and everyone involved with the series. It’s been a fun eight years and I’m excited for what’s to come!”
Many Bravo viewers reacted to this news with applause … considering the drama that surrounded Rinna last season on the show and the controversy it sparked this summer on social media.
Heck, Rinna was even booed a few months ago on stage at BravoCon 2022.
“It’s a TV show, for God’s sake,” she told People Magazine in response to this negativity.
“Call me whatever you want, believe me whatever you want, I’m telling the truth. I always have. Go back there.”
Despite all the recent backlash against Rinna, at least one person out there seems sad to see her go.
Following Rinna’s decision to leave the beloved franchise, Andy Cohen shared a cartoon celebrating Rinna’s signature lips and her most famous show moments.
“Good run,” Cohen captioned a picture by Instagram user DrunkDrawn.

For the record, Rinna’s contract expired at the end of the last season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
According to People Magazine, which broke the news of Lisa’s departure, the star weighed “business options and obligations” and then “she and Bravo have decided that she will not be returning to RHOBH.”
After this announcement, Rinna’s former friend Lisa Vanderpump – whom Rinna accused of orchestrating the storyline in 2019 – apparently fired back at the actress with a tweet that read, “Ding dong.”
At… ding dong, the evil witch is deadfrom The Wizard of Oz.
Rinna joined the franchise in its fifth season, which aired in 2014.
She got a lot of hate in July when she claimed that women are “at war with [the show’s only full-time Black star Garcelle Beauvais] we are all suddenly called racists.
That’s bull-. I will not accept that.
“I’ll tell you when and how I want and I’m not afraid of you.”
Rinna eventually apologized for her behavior, saying she was going through a “very difficult time” following the death of her mother Lois.
“I’m sorry that I’ve been mad at you, about you – it really has nothing to do with you,” she wrote online.
Rinna has not specified her exact plans or what she will do next.
Additionally, no one else associated with the franchise — outside of Cohen and Vanderpump — has yet to comment on this decision.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is expected to return with Season 13 later this year.
