The Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo has disclosed that the association is making plans to meet Hon Mustapha Ussif, the Minister of Sports over the poor attendance at the various stadiums.

The love of watching football matches in various stadiums has reduced now and the GHALCA leaders are very worried about the situation.

According to him, it has been difficult to find a solution to the problem and meeting with the Minister of Sports to consider the matter could be a wise step.

“Our arrival is very poor and we are trying to understand the problem and find a solution.

“We can play a game involving Hearts and Olympics and GHALCA’s part is GHS 185, telling us how bad the situation is and we need to find a solution now before it gets worse.

“Ghalca decided to meet with the Ministry of Sports to talk about E-ticketing. We believe that the system is good, but other factors are not working in our jurisdiction.

“We will definitely meet the minister next week to discuss the issue and find a solution for the game,” he told Akoma FM

Fianoo believes that other factors that need to be fixed to win back the hearts of fans include poor officiating, bad publicity and betting issues among others.

The Ghana Premier League is expected to resume this weekend with Kotoko and Accra Great Olympics headlining the matchday 11.
