Obaseki responded

Governor Obaseki on Friday said Mr. Oshiomhole “is trying to sell lies in a last ditch effort to revive his dead political career”.

“The public is no longer fed up with empty rhetoric and lies, which have long been a poisonous political curse that undermines people’s governance while the political class feeds fat from our collective heritage.

“Oshiomhole’s political career is over and it doesn’t matter how high he jumps on stage or how sad he is to annoy the crowd, people can see through his facade and recognize his antics and unconscionable lies. The former governor’s political career is effectively cut short at the polls in the 2020 governorship election in Edo State, which is a referendum on political style,” the governor said through his media aide, Crusoe Osagie.
