“My position is that everyone should be allowed to canvass freely and let the public vote.

“I wish you the best of luck in this move, even though I’ve been too focused on what’s going on at my wedding.”

The governor noted that the people of South East are blessed but have many challenges, noting that all they need is someone who believes strongly in the state as a leader.

He said Nigeria has the potential to be among the top seven economies in the world.

“Hard work beyond the election, whoever wins, must sit down and bring like-minded people to form a government that can transform this country.

“In Anambra and in the South East, we are proud to be a republic and freedom of speech, we are a people who cannot be an intolerant tribe.

“There is a large population of our people in Kano. Igbo people are big stakeholders everywhere. Anambra is blessed and we are trying everything to make it work.

“Elections are not a matter of do or die, everyone should campaign freely,” said Soludo.

Earlier Kwankwaso said he was in Anambra to continue consultations ahead of the February presidential election, and open his campaign office.

The NNPP presidential candidate praised Soludo’s development initiative while thanking him for the warm reception. ad
