Lisa Vanderpump Shades Lisa Rinna After ‘RHOBH’ Exit News

“Ding dong,” Vanderpump, 62, tweeted on Thursday, Jan. 5, hours after Rinna, 59, it is revealed that he will not return to the Bravo series. The comment appeared to reference lyrics from the song “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead,” featured in the 1939 film Wizard of Oz.

The two women have had various on-air feuds over the years and they disagreed again in 2019 when Veronica Mars alum accused the English native of trying to capitalize on the success Real Housewives by creating a new show that rescues her dogs, Vanderpump Dogs.

The drama originally started during season 9 of the reality series, when the restaurant was in the middle of a split during the Vanderpump Dogs staff. John Blizzard claimed to be a costar Kyle Richards and Teddy Mellencamp that Dorit Kemsley the former adopted puppy ended up in a kill shelter.

In March 2019, several sources told Us Weekly that spinoff revolving around the business is really “in the works,” upsetting some of RHOBA costars — including Rinna, who took to social media to share her frustration over the rumors.

“I’m a joker. I make no bones about it. I think you get paid for what you do. So my feeling is that if we really serve a spin-off, we should be paid,” the former soap star wrote via Instagram Stories at the time. “I’m very happy that we all use this platform for makeup lines, bathing lines, network TV shows, restaurants, [charities], a clothing line, a fitness empire, you name it. I support this woman, 100 percent.

At Days of Our Lives alum added that she expects to be paid for her involvement in the project.

“But if you’re going to use our service without telling us – that we roll out the storyline to start a pilot for a new show and you don’t compensate us extra for that – yes, I’m a hustler. I’m paid for what I do,” he said. “So, if this is really another show, my lawyer will call.”

While Peacock confirmed that the new reality show will be taking place in July 2020, Rinna updated her fans on her thoughts.

“I’m all right. Everyone lied to my face about this and we’re here. So, maybe you’ll believe me,” he captioned his Instagram Story in the same month.

Vanderpump, for her part, went out RHOBA halfway through season 9 in the middle of the drama. In March 2021, they opened exclusively for us about why he decided to leave after nearly a decade on the show.

“I left because I didn’t really like it and I didn’t like being called a liar,” he said us during an episode of the “Getting Real with Housewives” podcast. “To accuse me of selling a story, when you’ve never told a story out of my restaurant, you know, that’s an insult to me.
