The current situation of getting Premium Motor Spirit, (PMS) otherwise known as fuel, has pushed many Nigerians to desperation measures.

This condition has allowed many sellers and marketers to take advantage of their unsuspecting consumers. They feed them with adulterated fuel, thereby damaging their cars and generators.

Adulteration of fuel is the addition of any foreign substance into motor gasoline or high speed diesel, which has the potential of causing it to malfunction or damage its engine.

This is done by many Nigerian fuel dealers (adulteration) in order to make the greatest benefit from the product neglecting the motor vehicle damage and any other harmful effect on human life.

Fuel adulteration affects many, particularly any vehicle using fuel. The emission of tailpipe increases and then leads to an engine knock.

Some of the known adulterants are high Sulphur, Rexane, Resol, food grade hexane, and sometimes kerosene.
