
The case against the five people who were arrested after the discovery of a decomposed body in a plot in Doornlaagte has been postponed to January 9, for the appointment of a lawyer Legal Aid, for accused 2 to 4, and for further investigations.
Charges against Lourene Janse van Niewenhuisen were temporarily withdrawn, pending the outcome of the investigation.
The five face charges of murder, defeating the ends of justice and possession of firearms without a licence.

“The police investigation led them to a plot in Doornlaagte, and when they arrived, they were denied access by some of the accused. What made the police more suspicious were the people who ran between the buildings, when they arrived,” said the NPA.
