The Ashanti Regional Director of the National Service Secretariat (NSS), Alex Opoku Mensah has been suspended for two months without pay with immediate effect.
The National Service Scheme in a statement after the committee completed its task and submitted a report said Alex Opoku Mensah who verbally assaulted a nurse at the Manhyia Government Hospital, will report to the Office of the Chief Secretariat to be under supervision.
He was also directed to tender a formal apology to the National Service Scheme within seven days for tarnishing the name of the institution.
This is after the committee completes its task and submits a report to Management.
