Defense lawyers have sought bail for him but they were opposed by the prosecution.
The court after acquitting the accused asked the prosecution to file disclosure while the case was adjourned till January 17.
According to the brief facts of the case presented to the court by Chief Inspector Maxwell Oppong, the Complainant is Akwasi Agyeman, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
According to him, the accused Nuhu Sulley is a scrap dealer and resides in Medina and on December 29 last year, the complainant organized a music program at Independence Square, Accra which hosted American Rapper, Meek Mill as the featured artist.
He said that at about 8.20pm on the same day, a guest artist who was walking through the crowd to the stage, had his phone stolen by the accused who was in the crowd.
The iPhone 14 Pro Max mobile phone according to the prosecutor is worth GHc22,000.00.
He said, the accused after successfully stealing the mobile phone left the scene.
