
Governor Udom Emmanuel and the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, yesterday, led the people of Akwa Ibom in the second session of the Solemn Assembly and Thanksgiving Service every year to bring Akwa Ibom to 2023 and dedicate the state to God.
Emmanuel, speaking at the interdenominational Christian service, theme “Go Forward”, held at Ibom Hall Uyo, identified peace as the greatest blessing of God to the country during his term as governor.
This, he asserted, was the basis for all the other achievements of the administration.
Stating that the greatest thing that God has done for the country is what money cannot buy, he said: “What God has done for us is the peace that we enjoy in Akwa Ibom State. The peace that passes human understanding and through that peace, God brings development. This is an oasis of peace and tranquility, attracting people from all countries to come here, live, invest and develop. We will not be able to boast, but everything we have, we glorify God.”
He said it is important for the country to appreciate God for what he has done and encourage him to do more. Therefore, in order for people to “Move forward”, they must know where they are, how to get there and then be sure that God will move them forward.
“As we have done in the previous year, handing over the State to the Almighty God, I will hand over the State to God again.
“When we rededicate ourselves to God, we ask him to strengthen what he has done.
“So today we stand as people who tell God, strengthen what you have done for Akwa Ibom State and God will do for us in the name of Jesus”, the Governor said, reassuring that God never disappoints the state, even in the state . the most turbulent time.
Guest Minister and General Overseer of Redemption Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, speaking on the theme “Go Forward”, taken from Exodus 14:15, said he is in the country as an oracle of God to preach to Akwa Ibom people. to move forward, because God does not like backwardness or stagnation.
The cleric said that God remains and reigns tomorrow, so he called on the people of Akwa Ibom to believe in God, assuring that when the country is handed back to God, peace, joy and prosperity will reign in the country and God in his wisdom will rise to the throne. successor who will be more blueprint for the country after Governor Emmanuel.
