Last month, Jill Duggar recovered from surgery and caring for her and new baby Derick kept the family occupied.
But Jill is doing better now. And although Frederick was still a baby, he was no longer a baby.
Jill shared a photo of her updated look while enjoying a date with her husband.
And fans are falling over themselves to praise her new look – especially because it’s like break up of the Duggar rule.
To ring in the first week of the New Year, Jill Duggar Dillard took to Instagram to share a photo of her date night.
“We enjoyed a family #datenight out for #doubleRandPgasandgrill the other evening,” he began.
Jill then gushed: “We’re excited to find a new place and I’m thankful that we got to take a break for some quality family time.”
Jill may mean this as a simple life update or as a promotion for her favorite restaurant.
(We all remember how Jim Bob would promote his restaurant, maybe in exchange for a discount, before it became a brand don’t touch)
But whatever the purpose, many of his fans and followers are focused on his appearance. Specifically, in the beautiful blonde hair.
“Jil, you look so good!” one commenter gushed, including a heart eye emoji for full effect.
A second fan complimented: “Love your hair colour! looks great on you!”
And an additional follower noted that “Your new hair suits you.” Correct!
“Your hair looks amazing!” yet other commentators stated.
This is just a small sampling of the compliments Jill has received for what fans describe as her “amazing” hair.
It’s true – her blonde locks, which she received for the first time at the end of 2021 in the middle of her famous sister’s trial, are stunning.
This does not mean that the hair remains unchanged for more than one year.
In fact, just last month, Jill’s hair underwent an update.
She made sure her fans knew she was going to the salon – and that her five-month-old Freddy was there to look after her.
This may seem like a normal compliment to a hairstyle. But with the Duggars, including the survivors of the cult, there is more.
Simply put, this dye job was another way for Jill to defy the extreme dictates of her fundamentalist background.
Are they still conservative in their beliefs? yes already. But they are part of society, unlike the radical beliefs of violent cults that define their childhood.
The Duggar women are allowed to change their hair — mostly because the cult’s co-founder likes a horrible perm job like Michelle.
But dead blonde? Well, it’s worth noting – it’s “cheat” in a twisted ideology.
If you are part of a creepy community that sees women as responsible for people’s thoughts and actions, dying your hair blonde makes you a temptress. Bonkers, we know. This is just one more way Jill has put distance between herself and the toxic environment.
