An unidentified motorcyclist, commonly known as Okada, was trapped after a petrol tanker fell and spilled its contents on Tuesday evening.
The incident happened at the Alaba express bus stop. Apapa-Oshodi Expressway, Director Lagos State Fire and Rescue ServiceMargaret Adeseye, said in a brief statement.
“However, an adult male motorcyclist was trapped under the tanker during efforts to recover him,” the statement said.
Mrs. Adeseye said the 33,000 liter tanker had “lost control while in motion and fell on its side, thus spilling its contents at the Alaba Express Bus-stop, Apapa Oshodi Expressway, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
“The incident was mitigated by the Ajegunle Fire Brigade and brought under control with no known cause.”
